Part of our Meet and greet at Edinburgh Airport guide
Quick answer
If you leave something in an RTransfer car, message us on WhatsApp or call +44 7463 212661 as soon as you notice, with your booking details. Your driver will contact you to arrange its return, for a small fee. If we cannot reach you, the item is handed to Police Scotland lost property and we let you know. For a rank taxi, contact the taxi company.

Lost it in a taxi from the rank?
Contact the taxi company you travelled with. If you paid by card, your receipt or bank statement may show which company it was. Note the taxi's licence number if you can; it is shown on the plates.
Lost it at the airport?
Items left in the terminal or on a plane are handled by the airport or your airline, not by taxi companies. Contact them directly.
Five habits that save the panic
- Check the seat pockets, door pockets and footwells before you get out.
- Keep passports and phones in one zipped bag, not loose on the seat.
- Count your bags into the boot and back out again.
- Keep children's toys and tablets in one bag.
- Save our number before you travel.
