Edinburgh city centre

The airport is about 8 miles west of the centre. Most hotels in the Old Town, New Town, West End and Leith are 25 to 40 minutes away by car. A pre-booked transfer goes straight to your door, which matters in the Old Town, where tram and bus stops can be a steep walk from your accommodation.

Glasgow

Glasgow is about 45 miles away along the M8, roughly an hour by car. The Citylink AIR 900 coach is the direct public option; a private car takes you to any address in the city at a fixed £98.

St Andrews and Fife

St Andrews has no railway station, so public transport means two or three changes and 2 to 2½ hours. By car it is about 1 hour 15 minutes, which is why it is our most requested student and golf route.

Dundee and Stirling

Dundee is about an hour by car, or 80 to 90 minutes by direct coach. Stirling is one of the quickest runs at about 40 minutes, with Citylink coaches serving the university campus.

Perthshire, the Highlands and day trips

Perthshire's towns and castles, Christmas markets around Scotland, whisky distilleries and the Highlands are all within a day's drive. We quote one fixed price for the car, and on tours your driver waits while you explore.

Scotland’s ski resorts

Glenshee is about 2 hours from Edinburgh, CairnGorm Mountain near Aviemore and Glencoe about 2½ to 3 hours. Glenshee and The Lecht have no winter public transport, so a car with room for skis is the practical choice.
